These basses were specially built for the
BABP Forum and this one plays and looks outstanding.
It is in great condition with some surface swirls and a few small scratches on the back that were there back when I traded a 2008 Fender J5 plus $$ and paid for shipping for both basses with jmattis here on TB.
I've played it several gigs after I had it set up at Elderly Instruments and it's ready to be played by it's new master.
2008 G&L BABP Limited Edition L2500K. I believe these are limited to one of maybe 23 made. I got that information from Chef in a PM a while back but I can't verify it with G&L.
I traded for this one because of the unmarked maple board and the limited/beautiful nature of the bass. The body is Blackburst over ash, beautiful with no fret dots. (has side markers) It has a Maple fret board I think all 2500's are 12" radius maple necks. Weight is 9.9 on the bathroom digital scale.
The single coil option adds a Jazz bass sound and with the pre amp on, it's a "Super Jazz" sound. It also has the zillion other G&L2500 tones so it covers about anything.
As I'm trying to down size my arsenal I am moving to a P for this hot band that I got picked up by(for the P bass look). In true Frank fashion I have already bought two Ps so I want to sell this one before my wife leaves me.
It has some small scratches/pick marks and a couple of tiny marks yet you would have to inspect it to see anything. If the sun is out tomorrow I will take a few shots of the imperfections.
Also, I've had several people inquire that haven't played a L2500 before and I think it's always best to try one before you buy one. Try a USA model because I believe the imports may have a different radius? (not sure)
