FS: G&L Fender Jazz Monster 5

OK here's the story.
THE BODY:
I bought the body a few years back. It is hand crafted by a French company called LAG. It's a 2 pc Maple body with a solid Candy Apple finish. The butt end of the body caught a finish crack in transit to the US. No problem structurally and adds a bit of mojo.

It was originally passive w 2 awful soapbar style pickups. It's stamped 1988. It's solid as a rock and not a light weight pc of Maple.

THE PREAMP & PICKUPS:

I had just picked up a G&L 2000 Tribute 5
around this time. I dug the sound but not the playability. So I sold that bass but called my buddy at G&L and asked him for the US made pickups and preamp. This is the standard L2000 5 preamp with passive-active-active high boost, series/parallel, 3 way pickup selector, master volume, bass and treble.
The body also features Hipshot Straploks
and the original 2 pc Alembic style bridge.
I used 3 Fenderish chicken head knobs because it's my bass and I can do whatever I want! lol

THE NECK:

I replaced the LAG neck, which was boutiquey and great, with an Eden Eden 5 Maple. fingerboard/Maple neck with Black block inlays. This neck was more Fenderish in tone and feel.
This is 17mn string spacing. The headstock is a 5 in line Fender Jazz style.
The tuners are Hipshot Ultra Lites.

Put all together you have a very solid and unique instrument. It sounds very G&Lish
and plays evenly throughout. It weighs around 11 pounds so not for the wimps or those with a bad back. It records extremely well. It has a natural tight sound
and lots of mojo. It's great for rock and funk, very versatile!

I have invested nearly $2000 into it. I have way too many basses and I'm down sizing.
I've got a Wal, Tung and MTD also for sale. I am asking $750 & shipping.
