G&L bass has been SOLD, PAYMENT PENDING.

Up for sale is my G&L Tribute 5-string L-2500 with nice sunburst finish. See the link for a mess of photos.

This bass is in excellent condition. The reason I am selling this is because I have acquired a different 5-stringer. Also, the Secretary of Interior says I have picked-up too much gear in recent months and that something has to go (really, it was just a mild case of cabin fever-induced GAS...).

Anyway, this G&L has a great sunburst finish, two pickups, maple neck, rosewood fretboard, and the very cool active/passive electronics with 3-way mini-toggle pickup selector, preamp control, series/parallel control, plus a treble boost/cut knob, a bass boost/cut knob, and volume knob. You can really get a lot of great tones out of these guitars. Also comes with a nice G&L gigbag. Please contact me via pm or call 217-840-4901 for more details.

Seems like a fair price to me. I'd love to take it off your hands, I really would, as I've been scanning this forum for used L-2500's with rosewood fingerboards for a while now... but the sunburst finish just doesn't do it for me. Just a personal preference thing.

Would you mind revealing what fiver you got to replace this one?

Thunder, the guitar I picked-up is a MusicMan SUB. I like it a lot & just can't justify keeping two 5-string basses. The MusicMan will be OK until I find that next one I really "need" to play.

A bunch of hits (over 300), one pm and a load of visits to the photo gallery...but so far, not one serious bite.

Someone asked, so I will relay to all. This instrument is not a made-in-Japan model. This is a Korean-made piece. From what I understand, Japanese production of the G&L Tributes was for non-US markets.

Regardless of country of origin, the G&L comes with two US-made pickups and this is a good quality, 5-string bass. Especially if you are interested in the variety of cool tones that can be generated by the on-board electronics.
