FS: Rob Allen MB-2, Wymore PJ4

Consolidating two threads into one. All prices include shipping in the 48 states only.

The ONLY trades I'm interested in are:
-17th Street 4 string
-G&L L-2000 - ash body only, maple board only, less than 9 lbs, '96-'99 with 3 bolt neck only
-G&L L-1500 (4 string) - ash body only, less than 9 lbs, '96-'99 with 3 bolt neck only
-Mike Lull P4 with P width neck, brazilian rosewood fingerboard only
-LowEnd LEP4 with P width neck, rosewood board
-Wal MkII, 4 string only
-Xotic XP1T 4 string only

Third is a really great Rob Allen MB-2 lined fretless. This is an older one, the neck is a bit chunkier than he makes now and is super comfortable. The neck is quartersawn maple with a cocobolo fingerboard and bridge. The top is figured mahogany and the body is mahogany. This bass has a wonderful unique tone, I’ve owned ash and alder bodied MB-2s and this has the mellowness of alder but with a more full tone. This has been played so there’s very light string wear on the fingerboard and a few minor dents on the body and neck. Rob said he hasn’t made many like this over the years. Comes in a nice tolex hardcase. Typical lightweight MB-2 at 6.7 lbs.

Price is $1450 shipped SOLD

Last is a really nice USA made PJ bass, built by John Wymore. He did a limited run of 3 of these years ago and they are terrific basses. This one has a swamp ash body finished in faded Fiesta Red (similar color to Pino's Fender) and a birdseye maple neck with figured maple fingerboard. The neck is 1.5" wide at the nut - Jazz width. The body color was a bit hard to get right in the picture, it's closer to the back shot but a little darker. This bass has some light player wear - tiny chips in the finish around the edge of the body, some finish checking on the headstock, shallow scratches on the body finish, etc. Nothing serious but it's not new condition, it looks like it's been played for years and it has. Top notch build and materials, all Hipshot hardware, pickups are Nordstrand P and J. The pickup covers have some small cracks but are holding up fine. The controls are stacked passive Vol/Tone for each pickup. Weight is nice at 9.4 lbs. Comes in a clean Road Runner molded case.

Price is $700 shipped SOLD
