As it turns out I simply am not a huge fan of the P/J combo of the SB and every time I get back to my L1/L2 I remember why, so I have decided to pass her on.
I’ve owned this for two+ years and have done many mods (listed below) to suit my taste, so I will be taking a sizeable loss on this one, but that’s the way the GAS bubbles sometimes.
Highlights:
- Black/Maple w/matching headstock and no fret dots (I get tons of positive comments on the looks)
- Bayou cables tone mod w/stacked volume. (Disclaimer: the taper on the P volume has always hit me as very short, but I have swapped out new CTS pots twice and it remained the same, so I accept it.)
- Everything black: Hipshot tuners, string guide, knobs, bridge and bridge screws, all neck bolt hardware, all pick guard screws.
- 1.5” at the nut

Condition: She is a little grubby in the pics and has certainly been played, so I would report 3 very minor (IMO) nicks in the body and pick swirling on the PG, but I personally would rate her at a solid 8 perhaps even 9 out of 10 cosmetically and functionally 10/10.
Trade possibilities: I can say that it will be a long shot, but I can usually be tempted. In the interest of saving time and effort...I prefer old blonds so, true vintage and maple boards only for most things. I would give consideration to something 'Ricken' as well!
