FS: G&L USA L2500 Blueburst - Mint - Reduced

Sign in to disble this ad
This is a 2008, made in USA, G&L L2500.
Totally Mint, NO signs of wear, NO belt-buckle rash, even the back cover plate still has the plastic on it.
NO dings, chips, scratches or imperfections. It's just like it left G&L's factory.
I swapped out the stock knobs with Q-parts blue-pearl dome knobs.
Weight shows 8-9 lbs on the bedroom scale.
OHSC is included.
Currently has Ernie Ball Slinky Bass5 strings (for me, the B sucked on the factory stock Daddario strings, sounds great with Ernie's.)
Will ship next business day via UPS ground.

I had some extra cash in 2009 and wanted to add a 5-string to my collection so I picked up this L2500. Unfortunately I realized 5-strings are not for me, so this bass has remained in its case ever since. It honestly has less than an hour of play time on it.

I'm asking $1300 including shipping.

Others may be curious, so I'll ask here

Which set of Slinkies are you using? Is this the 2836 set? I am curious as you strung it through the body and the taper at the tuner end still cleared the nut. Not all strings do that!

Thank you

P.S. That is a great looking L2500. They are great instruments

I owned one of these in blueburst. Killer tone monster. You will not be sorry if you buy this. Seriously great instruments.

Looking for a 34" 5 string and am very tempted by G&L. Lobe the blue burst.

I've never even played a G&L, and I would pick this up before anything else in a store. Very nice touch with the dials as well!

I've owned 3. Thinking about going back to G&L, but I don't want/can't spend this much on basses any more. I'd have to go Tribute line. Anyway, great looking bass.

Here is a better shot of the wood grain. (Taken before I changed the knobs)

It seems Musiciansfriend lists these at $1875 for natural gloss finish, NOT blueburst. So save some money and get a beautiful blueburst with this barely played, mint condish bass for just $1300!

I have the exact same bass...it's amazing.

I'd love to have another one so I can string one with rounds and one with flats, just don't have to scratch right now. The spousal unit would not be amused at me spending a grand+ on another bass.

How did that Guns and Roses song go, "I used to lover her"?
