FS: Gorgeous 1985 Fender P-Lyte Deluxe Bass + Hard case 7.5lb!

Sign in to disble this ad
85-86 MIJ Fender P-lyte Deluxe Bass in Mahogany wood.
These are getting hard to find, and this one is in GREAT condition.
It weighs around 7.5 lb, the lightest bass I've ever played!
Deluxe model comes with Active preamp (3 band EQ, blend/vol), mahogany wood, Gold hardware, Split P pickup and MM Pickup at the bridge.
Volume and Blend control.
High mass bridge for great sustain.
Low action, fast jazz neck, plays like a dream.

This bass sounds amazing in recordings and your back would thank you after a long gig.
Hard case is a little beat up, but fully functional and is included.

Asking $570 shipped or 550 local.
Pics coming soon, in the mean time - check the local ad for pics.

Thanks EduardoK.
I'm sure that you can find some scratches if you really look for them, but it is in a great condition overall.

Also, all PMs answered

This would have been long gone if I hadn't just done a deal on a Dingwall Combustion. I had a Precision Lyte standard and loved it. Did several sessions with it and had no trouble getting it to sit nice in the mix. Only reason I gave it up was I wanted to go 5 string. Times were tough then and I had to give it up to get my Yamaha TRB5II.

Not an 80's bass, the lyte first came to the U.S. from Japan in 1989 and then became the deluxe in 1995-6, this one is a 1997...just sayin.

Interesting. Fender site has the early ones as MIJ from '85-'86 per serial numbers. So, if you're just sayin...is there some other source I should use to figure out date of manufacture?
