FS: Greco Hollowbody Bass $250 OBRO

I'm selling this little gem of antiquity. I installed a new nut last year, and cleaned it as much as possible. I'm going to use the word shotty to describe the electronics. They're scratchy etc., but the bass does work, and play reasonably well with very workable action. The truss rod works great. It's set-up with flats. This would be a great project bass for someone looking to enhance the electronics, or just a nice bass to play at home etc. No case. I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there, but it will be packed EXTREMELY well, and insured.

The price is $250 or best offer.

I'm also looking for an obp preamp, or pretty much anything Aguilar.

How about the pickups? Microphonic or still pretty solid?

It's difficult to say for sure, because everything else has some noise to it i.e., pots and stuff, but, on the side of caution, I'd say "pretty" solid. They seem to work well, but there is some undesirable noise,

In response to the other question I'll post a nut width a bit later today. The neck is laminate with more ply than I could count. It's not moving, but if it does, the truss rod works. It's straight, and the frets have some life, but not lots.

I don't think it's The Dude's, but it is somebody's.

That encourage guitar players to say bass players are stupid

Nice bass, I had one with no issues and in great shape and sold for about $400, so this could be worth buying and fix it.

That is a great looking bass. Makes me wish I could use a 4 string, or that this was a 5 string. Yea, I'd play it in a bar band.

Good luck with the sale.
