Yours is lighter than mine by almost 3/4 of a lb. and that makes it worth more I think. Mine has the identical "old style" 2tek, so I'll bet yours is a 95 or 96 too. What's the serial number start with (that's the year)? They switched to the new lighter/cheaper 2tek in 97 I think. (String spacing is very narrow on these BTW, Swpyne.)

Just weighed it again...10lbs 5oz on my shipping scale. It balances nicely on a strap. No neck dive.
String spacing at nut - 9mm.
String spacing at bridge - 16.5
Serial # is 5424**
It is on the narrow side, maybe it's not ideal for a slapper used to wider 4 strings but it's a dream for fingerstyle. The neck is an asymmetrical profile and feels very fast. It's definitely on the thin side. Using my caliper, the approximate thickness of the neck at the 5th fret is 21mm. At the 12th fret it is approximately 23mm.
This one is really resonant. You can get a big sound out of it even unplugged. I hate to see it go.

Anybody that wants to be heard better in your band's mix, here's your ticket. Makes fast passages easier to play somehow, too. Love mine.

I went through quite a few basses during that time. This is one I probably should have hung on to. It has a very full, even sound that is a bit on the modern side. It sounds absolutely wonderful. |

Oddly enough, it sounds really good with a pick as I blast through Guns n Roses covers. It has a very nice midrange to it. I almost took this ad down but my bank account really took a hit this month.

I can still remember the looks on the faces of the band I played in the first time I played it. It just kicked like a mule and the sound was really great for the mix. This one is in beautiful shape too. |
