FS: Hanewinckel Draken 5-String

I've recently run into some legal issues, and I need to sell this bass to raise some funds. My loss is your gain.

Bass has an Alder body with a Walnut top, 3-piece Maple neck, and a Pau Ferro fingerboard. All pieces are quartersawn. MOP side dots and abalone dots on the fingerboard. Chrome hardware includes Gotoh tuners, a very sturdy Hanewinckel bridge, and Dunlop Straploks. Pickups are Nordstrand Big Singles with an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp (including a Passive Tone control that only works in Passive mode). There are a couple dings shown in the pics as well as light surface scratches that could be sanded out with a fresh coat of oil or Howard Feed N Wax. Bass comes with a TKL hardshell case. This bass balances very well on the comfortable Hanewinckel strap that also comes with the bass. The neck is very sturdy and has hardly needed any adjustments.

I'm asking for $1,200 shipped in the contiguous 48 States. I've put over $2,500 into this bass, so this seems like a great deal for somebody. Let me know if interested or if you have questions.

Here are a couple older pics to show a couple more details of Pete's beautiful work.

Bump for a lower price and a couple more pics.

This shows the back of the body and the Walnut control cavity cover.

This is a pic showing the Big Singles and Walnut top a bit closer up.

I also should have mentioned that this bass has the Wide neck which has 3/4" string spacing at the bridge.

Is the string spacing adjustable at all?

How does the bass hang on a strap when you take your hands off -- will it stay up (i.e. pointed "up" @ 40 degrees or so), seek horizontal, or dive? I don't think that a quality bass like this will have any neck dive, per se, but, for me, if I'm playing one that stays "up" while standing it makes getting around nicer, since I don't have to hold the bass down with my right forearm or support it at all with my left hand.

Also, got any sound clips?

How does it feel/react slapping (especially on the B string)? I've found some otherwise nice basses to lose punch, sustain, and note definition slapping on the B.

Notes nice and consistent up and down the neck?

Thanks in advance, and good luck with the sale.

String spacing is not adjustable.

It hangs on a strap very well. When I let go, it stays at an angle and does not seek horizontal like some of my other basses.

Sorry, I don't have any sound clips.

I also haven't really slapped the B, so maybe I'll get back to you on that.

I do think the notes are consistent around the neck.

Bump for the excellent love I have for the Draken body style and for Pete's basses altogether. If I hadn't of just bought the 5 string love of my life, I'd be sending a PM to you
