looking at the picture it seems like the set-up is a bit cock-eyed with the bridge riding high on the g string. Is this by design?
What year was it born?
Thanks |

Thanks | I didn't even noticed that it's cock eyed but it plays really good.. I'm not sure what year it was born but the past buyer bought it in 1992 from the original owner.. |

Do you still have the pickguard?
Thanks! |

Most times, moving the fret wire saddle forward instead of angling the bridge will do the job. There are slots cut into the bridge and one grabs the saddle with a pair of dykes, lifts it out, and places it in an adjacent slot, either more forward or aft, if its string is flat or sharp respectively. Works well actually.

the adjustable bridge was a wuick fix for setting up string height, but more impportantly intonation.
Remember there were in the early years two sets of tailpieces....One longer than the other....SOOO, inorder to compensate for that curveball two tailpieces were better than none..No just kidding, as it was a correct fix.
LaBella made many of the Hofner flatwounds in the early day, until the value of the US dollar went up.
Since 2005 we have another model in additionto the original gauges as Sir Paul asked for a tad lighter set. |
