Vintage Hofner short scale, solid body bass. I believe it to be a 182 Artist model from the late 70's / early 80's. This is one surprisingly loud and dynamic bass, generating some tasty and delicious vintage tones. Body has some minor dings (aka MOJO). Generic gigbag and strap included.
Price is $300 via PayPal, shipped CONUS only. No trades.

HOFNER MODEL 182 SOLID BASS GUITAR
Introduced into the Europe simultaneously with Hofner Solid Bass (Version 2) in the UK Selmer market in 1962. The 182 (European/US market) had no serial number and often a black painted neck. The Selmer bass always had a clear varnished neck and of course serial numbers on the rear of the headstock. The Selmer solid bass changed to the one-pickup Professional Bass in 1963 when the Artist two pickup bass was introduced. However, the 182 continued in the European and US markets as a two-pickup model into the 1980's. All 182's were fitted with the Hofner rectangular control consul, regardless of production date.
The 1970's & 80's saw small changes being made to the 182. A combined bridge/tailpiece was fitted, as well as a large string retainer on the headstock. It is equipped with the Type 513B pickups and has very interesting looking open machine heads which apparently were being fitted by Hofner at the time.
