FS:Ibanez Affirma A 205 - Kralo Walnut! Price drop

Just went down to $1400

Up for sale is a rare Kralo Walnut Ibanez Affirma 5 String. Most you see are Saman and occasionally Maple . The bass is beautiful.

I noticed there are two others on TB for sale apparently in near mint condition, asking $2000. I can't go that route. Mine is in great shape but I want to be up front and describe some minor "flaws" which I tried my best to capture in the pics:

1) The piezo saddle for the B string was replaced with a new one provided by Rolf Spuler himself. I have documentation supporting this.

2) String rash on the mag pick up.

3) Very small void in the wood along the edge of battery cavity.

4) Piezo trim pots cover missing

5) Don't have the Affirma HSC but comes with the next best thing . . .The custom molded case for the identically shaped Ibanez EDA 905. So essentially the case fits like a glove around the Affirma.

There is a very slight ding at the very tip of the head stock, a small indentation in the maple wood next to where the thumb groove and mag pup meet, and a few light, small scratches on the back only seen at a certain angle all of which didn't show up well in the pics. No belt rash. No neck issues, some minor fret wear but no buzzes.

Overall I would rate its condition an 8.0 because of the items mentioned above. Some may think slightly higher or maybe lower depending on the eyes of the beholder.

I'm located in Chicago. Asking $1400.

Let me know . . .

Always wanted one of these, good thing it's not fretless cause that's a great price, well at least I can give you a bump!

Bump for a nice looking, very unique bass. I had the flame maple version (305) for a while -- great fundamentals, and a tight B string. Also one of the most comfortable/well balanced basses I've played.

I've always loved that design. I wish they would have made all of the EDA and EDB in wood versions. The EDC looked stupid IMO. Wish i had room in the wallet for this.
