FS...Ibanez Axstar 4-string

Sign in to disble this ad
Great condition, made in Japan, Axstar for sale. This is the 1986 model, with the much nicer bridge, and better string attachment at the headstock (if it's still called a headstock ) Passive aftermarket EMG pickups. Sounds great, with lots of low-end for such a lightweight...and a lightweight it is at 7.1 lbs!
This bass is lots of fun to run around with, and it balances very well. This bass is very easy to play, as the neck is fairly narrow. The neck has no issues, and the action is good. Controls are volume, balance, and tone. It's stung with a well-used set of Elixirs, but includes a new set of Pressurewounds cut to fit.

The bass looks great for it's age, although there are some dings, and scratches in the clearcoat (not through to the wood). These flaws are minor, and were hard to photograph, but are noticeable. There is also a little bit of string wear on the pickups. I'd give this bass an 8 out of 10. A hardshell case is included...it's a little beat-up on the outside, but will still do it's job.

Price is $450.00 shipped to the lower 48.

*****Price drop to $390.00 shipped to the lower 48*****

*****SOLD*****

It seems to be a constant with these '80 headless basses no matter what brand.

Thanks for checking.

C'mon Bo, you're making me feel bad . It just spends too much time in the case...it needs someone who'll PLAY it!

Jealous. I'm mad at my Van for needing brakes this month.
