For sale is my 1985 Ibanez Axstar in black. This is the passive version. Headless but accepts single ball strings.
Bass is very clean and plays like a dream. Super light weight and great balance. Just a couple of small areas where there is dinging to the wood (pictured) and one area of scratching near the upper horn also pictured. Slight wear on the neck plate as is common in older Ibanez basses as they did not cast their metal in black back in those days. None of these blems are noticeable to your audience. Lighting was a little funky taking snaps but everything should be captured.
Also, this is missing the truss rod cover but it can be replaced wtih a standard Ibanez cover from the period. These are on ebay from time to time. Also hard to see this in performance as the end of the neack is slanted behind the zero fret.
I am pricing this bass to move fast as I am taking vaction Monday afternoon. Asking price is $300 shipped in the Conus or best offer, and I will consider any fair best offer. Not interested in trades for this one.
Pics below.
Thanks!
RBM

Great Bass, I had one about 18 years ago and enjoyed it as much as my Steinberger that cost me $1800.00 more. If I woyuldn't have bought a Stingray, I would have seriously considered this bass. Good Luck on the sell.

I could trade you for your Stingray
Seriously, thanks for the kind words. I feel the same about this bass and want to keep this but this is my backup Axstar. So off it goes...
