While I don’t have a lot of basses, it’s time to thin the herd. I’m finding that I’m playing my Tobias full time so this is the instrument that drew the short straw. It’s in mint condition. I gigged with it for about a year and it’s been hanging at the house since. I used it in a praise and worship setting so it’s never been in a smoky setting. The guy I bought it from had used it for a couple of studio sessions before selling it so it’s been very pampered. No marks; no dings. It plays great and sounds great… I’ve got the hard shell case and the case candy with it.

This is a FS transaction only… I’m not looking for another bass.

Please write if you have any questions or want more pics. Be glad to provide…

Have you ever A/B'd this with a U.S. Cirrus?

A/B refers to comparing two basses in a similar amp and EQ setting. Basically he's asking if you have enough insight and experience with the Peavey bass to make a knowledgeable comparison between the two.

Sorry about that, SkyGoneBlue... If I had only known that you were looking...

I'll take the blame, though... I meant to have this posted a couple of weeks ago but the job kept getting in the way of my fun stuff...

Thanks for explaination... I do not have any experience with the Cirrus basses other than playing a few in a store. I never liked the necks enough to plug one in... just never felt right to my hands. Thanks for the question...

They are very similar to a Cirrus, a bit brighter sounding, not as deep.
Think poor man Ken Smith.
Both incredible instruments for the price they ask. At 650 it is a steal.

Thanks for the response. Seems as though buildwise they're somewhat similar to Schecter's stiletto elite/studios?

I've played several of the Schector's and nearly bought one of the Elite series... until I played the SR neck on the Ibanez. I personally like the thinner SR neck a lot better than the Schector. I also think that this particular bass is much better overall construction than any of the Schector's that I've ever played... I realize that statement is completely my opinion so I may get a rise out a few people over that one. Street price was around $1300 when it was new... I think I've priced it fairly.

Thanks but no trades for basses ... I've got what I need for now... I could be tempted with some gear though... not looking for an amp/combo but possibly some pedals, etc. I play guitar (acoustic and electric) as well so I am not limited to bass only gear. I'm willing to negotiate...
