| I think that this is my old bass. If so, I can testify that it was the nicest of the three 506s I tried at the Guitar Center I bought it from (nicer, IMO, than the new ones on the wall), both in terms of balance on a strap (I remember this as close to neutral -- maybe just a little neck heavy, but still comfortable to wear and play, where one of the others, at least, dove like a duck) and in evenness of response across the fingerboard.
I can't speak to the setup now. I can say that the setup and strings were crap when it left Guitar Center but that, when I had it, it took a medium-low setup well (adjusted on the low side of Ibanez specs, with advice from the Ibanez tech) and that both truss rods worked. I used Circle K balanced tension strings with a .136 B and thought they were a good match for the bass, if anyone is curious.
String spacing at the bridge is 16.5 mm, which makes for fast fingerstyle and a manageable neck for newbies to six string. I considered keeping the bass and upgrading the pups and pre, but I came across an Ibanez Prestige sixer with American Barts and an NTMB pre at nearly the same time.
