I've changed my mind on what to purchase, and figured a new thread would generate more interest!
First, I've got a Squier Deluxe Active 5-string Jazz bass, loaded with Dimarzio Ultra J pickups. This is a great sounding bass, and the slap-switch is a nice touch. Not too heavy, but not ultralight; I'd guess just about 10 pounds, with a good balance. The straplock will be replaced with a regular strap button. Action is on the lower side of 'medium-low.' It's still got the stock strings on it. No scratches or gouges, except the usual headstock dings.
The B is a good one. Admittedly, not as good as my Ibanez BTB, but still a tight, playable B that sounds great in the mix. $265 shipped OBO
Second, and most painful, is my 2nd bass, an Ibanez SR506. For the sake of full disclosure, here's the back-story. My wife and I defretted it, puttied the slots and sanded the fingerboard. The fingerboard isn't perfect. The 24th fret area is high, and you'll fret out playing past the 14th fret. I sanded the bottom of the nut down a bit roughly, and it also seems that the inlays protrude minutely and cause a tiny bit of buzz as well. At first, we had stained the neck about 4 times over with a dark, walnut stain. When I tried polyurethaning it, there was some really weird spots that wouldn't dry, so I took it all off, and tung-oiled it.
This is the perfect bass for someone who wants to do minimal neck work to have a 6-string fretless. I had planned on getting a radiused sanding block and doing it, but I think 6-string fretless would be too 'showy' for the music I want to pursue. There's a lot of wear on the body, including a spot that was dug out hard by popping, so I sanded it down about 1/8", the light spot in the stripe. The stripes are partially sanded down and filled in with Sharpie.
Here's a representation of how clean the fret removal was.
The back $265 shipped OBO
If you'd like a case, I'll throw one in for $30 extra, or make me an enticing offer.

If so, the black stripe was lightly sanded down and then colored in with a Sharpie. The narrower line next to it is drawn right on. The light brown spot is worn into the finish from popping... it was really rough so I smoothed it out with some sandpaper. Also, sending you a PM. |

Got another Ibby going up if your interested. My Roadster Orange '08 SR300. Plays amazing. I'd be interested in either squier, especially the jazz.

H | You really struck a chord when you said orange! I just can't justify going on color, since I can't jive with the thin Ibanez neck. Thanks for the offer though!!! |
