FS- IBANEZ SR886 Refinished 1992 Retail $1399.00 *$225.00 Shipped*

Fairly rare 1990-1992 Ibanez SR886. This bass was finished over the original red with a black flake finish and the Ibanez logo and serial number is under that. Neck is straight and frets are good with a bit of signs of use. All original, there is an intermittent short in the wiring most likely stemming from the refinish job. Need strings and a setup to be at optimal. Some scratches to the paint and some areas on the lower bout to the wood but, no dents in the wood, no cracks... One of the Gotoh tuners is missing the dust cap. An excellent winter project... Would look cool refinished natural. $225.00 shipped east of the Mississippi. West, add $10.00.

ON HOLD!!!

Find out what Gary Willis (SR885FL) and Fieldy (SR885 before his 1305PM) were diggin' back then!

Made in Japan BUMP!

This particular model was only made in Japan and did not make the Made in Korea transition...

Yeah. Definitely cool. I've been thinking about a f'less sixer. And I love me some Ibanez. Might be cool to Gary Willis +1 this, since it could use a setup anyway. Lots of options with this one.

Awesome! I own its 5-string sibling, the SR885. The eventual owner of this bass will be very happy.

I'm usually not one to comment on sale threads, but this is a steal. FYI the body is made out of basswood which is extremely light! I have an SR 645 which is made of the same materials (different neck pocket and electronics) and it is the lightest bass I have ever held, even lighter than my Ibanez GSR190 I had. If you have back problems and want a 6 string bass, this is THE bass for you... period.
