Hate to sell this bass but I have too much stuff and some had to go. I had this bass made for me about 8 years ago by a builder called JAF basses out of Canada. I don't know how many he built over the years but I believe he did for a couple of years. Anyhow, I bought the hardware and shipped it to him and had him build it for me.
Here's the specs:
Weight: heavy (12lbs?)
Woods: Ash/Wenge
Scale: 35"
Neck: moses graphite w/truss rod
Hardware: ABM, I think
Pickups: EMG 45DC's with a stacked BTC/18v
The good: plays and sounds great. Nice punchy sound and low, even action.
The bad: heavy. Surface crack in side of neck (been there the whole time I owned it and never got bigger). B string bolt at the string retainer is cross threaded but works. Jack crackles - probably some contact cleaner would fix it.
I'm asking $900 shipped for this bass. Trades will be ignored (sorry, too many basses already) Send me a PM with your email for more pics.

24th fret: 3 19/64 inches across
bridge: 21/32 inches on center (somewhat adjustable)
nut: 2 3/16 inches across
I've included pictures with my ruler (accurate to 64th of an inch - I use it for putting together dress uniforms)
Let me know if you have any other questions. |
