FS: Japanese Fujigen Factory Made Ibanez SR-885

Up for sale is my Ibanez SR-885. This is an amazing bass, it was made in 1989, in the Fujigen factory, the same factory that produces the Ibanez prestige line. This is the same model that Gary Willis played before he got his custom bass done, it would make an amazing fretless too.

I've played a few Ibanez prestige and premium basses and this plays every bit as good, the neck is super fast and the action is slammed, down to 1/64th @ 12th fret G string. Frets were just leveled by a pro luthier who incidentally did work for the Ibanez custom shop here in the U.S.

In fact I just picked up an Ibanez SR-1005 and the playability on this bass is easily on par. I also made a willis style ramp that you'll see in the pict below. Ships in a protec contego case.

I'm selling because I picked up a new fretted with radiused pickups which was a big plus, otherwise this one would be staying put, it took me a long time to find this particular model.

I've owned an SR885 for 19 years & it still sounds great. $425 is a great price, folks.
