This bass is absolutely beautiful.
It is incredible with the Jerzy pups and Aguilar OBP-3 Pre-amp!
The bass balances really well and has a sound between an MTD and Smith! It is extremely aggressive, very articulate, and cuts well. It has the best LOW-B on a bass I've ever played!

Just a little clarification. This is not an Excellency model. It is a Mastery. The Mastery has neck through construction as opposed to the bolt on construction found on the Excellency. The Mastery bass is no longer in production.

I used to own this very bass and currently possess 3 other JDs. The quality on these instruments is impeccable. GLWTS

Clarification:
The Mastery and Excellency are look alikes. The difference is that this bass is Neckthru vs. the Excellency that comes in a Bolt-on. The Mastery basses also have two carbon fiber stiffness rods in the neck.
