Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all,
I am not really sure if I want to sell this bass but try to get some info from you guys about this bass in the market since I don't know anything about this bass but one thing for sure it is a collection piece. It was originally built by John Buscarino who is now the world famous guitar builder (he does not build bass anymore)

Nova Wave

I talked with John on the phone back in the late eighties with the intention of having a bass built. Then, he talked at length about the difficulty of getting great woods easily and stated that the Japanese were buying the woods like wildfire. Jeff Berlin has a Nova on the stand in his instructional video... I know John now makes arch tops and are very expensive ones at that! He was a very nice person on the phone and talked to me for awhile. Sometime around 2000, I secured a used Nova, figured maple over alder body, bocote neck, maybe ebony fingerboard and had been owned by Edwin McCain's bassist. Well made. Absolutely top quality construction!! Jeff Berlin owns a Nova Wave and, from the video, has no intentions of parting with it!!

If you are serious about selling a 3K$ bass, provide pics. Seems reasonable.

This isn't about this thread but is that bass in your icon an antonatsai? Or how ever it's spelled. I really want one but at 430 bucks on eBay for a 7 string, I'm suspicious. And the fact that they are in saigon
