FS: Johnson AEB-Cheap!

I'm really hesitant about listing this bass. I ordered this from a guitar shop I used to use back home because I wanted a good acoustic bass at a cheap price and the guy said he had heard nothing but good things about these basses. I went ahead and ordered the bass because my first guitar was a Johnson as well and thought i'd give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised with this bass. For only costing me 300 dollars it is very well made, super comfortable to play and sounds better than my friends 600 dollar Michael Kelly.

I've only used the bass around my house and for a couple of "coffee shop" style worship gigs and it sounds really good plugged in or unplugged. Any acoustic bass can be drowned out by guitars so when I did play it out it was usually through a smaller amp or through a PA system.

Condition wise I would say the bass is in great shape. There aren't any major dings or dents only minor players wear here and there. The bass really hasnt been used that much though.

I just restrung it with a set of Fender strings. The bass will be double boxed and will be packed tight. No case or gigbag is included. The bag I had for it ripped and since then it hasn't left the house.

This seems pretty cool and the price is great. Did you put flats on it? Would love a Rob Allen mouse but I doubt I will ever be able to afford one...looking for something that might get me in the ballpark...or near the block of the park

I dig the fact that it is a shorter scale and has 4-band.

Do you have any sound samples?

i actually had flats on it before i put the new rounds on it.

i've never had a rob allen and i'm not super familiar with his work, but the bass did sound really good with flats on it.

the 4 band is extremely flexible. i'm sure this would take care of your needs for very little coin.

no sound samples...
