I bought this bass thinking I would jump into the 6 string world right. Turns out there is no place for 6 string bass in "Mustang Sally" and "Gimmie 3 steps". At least not that I have found. Anyway, here she is.

Keith Roscoe SKB 3006
Tranparent Red QM top
I'm not very good identifying woods, so maybe someone here can help me on the body and FB woods.
Bartolinis
3 band with the 2 position selectable mid pull switch
As you can see in the pics it also has the Roscoe semi hard/soft case.
Serial number is in the 4400's

As far as condition goes, I would give it an 9.5 out of 10. here are the only reasons it doesn't get a 10.

There is some very minor dulling of the finish bewteen the pups at the C string. 38 seconds after wiping the finger prints off of it, your finger prints cover it up and you can't see the dulling anyway. As you can see from the pics, finger prints show up out of nowhere.

Some of the finish is rubbed off of the back of the neck. If I were going to keep it, I would have knocked the finish off and tung oiled it anyway.

There are absoluteley no deep scratches or ding or dents that I can find. The guy who had it before me must have been very careful with it.

$2300 Shipped and PayPaled to CONUS ONLY.

Maybe not however you can create and experiment for yourself and get into what extended range basses can do. I dont bring mine on some gigs but I do record some really cool stuff with it.

Bump for an awesome bass. Roscoes are fantastic and this one is no exception.

Well...

At least you can use the bottom string on Gimme Three Steps for the proper low D - rather than playing it on a four-string and having to play it the way it is on the record.

As for Mustang Sally, it depends on how creative you're allowed to be.

I only use six stringers on gigs - helps to do the cello part on Kashmir.

Good luck with your sale - maybe consider trading it for a fiver!

Free bump for a great looking Roscoe 3006 and a good price.

The best playing 6 string made IMO! Awesome feeling neck.

Good luck with the sale!

Trade Offers?

I may be interested in opening this up to trades. I'm only interested in American made 5 strings, and I still need cash. Have an old Fender Jazz V? Maybe an old Modulus Q5? Let me know what you got and what your thinkin. All you gotta do is ask. You won't hurt my feelings.
