I just bought an expensive bass and I need to pay it off.

No trades please, I need the money.

All prices include shipping and insurance in the 48 states only. I'll ship anywhere, you just have to cover the extra cost.

#1: This is a rare Ken Lawrence Associate 4 string. Ken doesn't make that many fours and this is super nice. The body is swamp ash with a beautiful quilt maple top and a figured ash center block. The body finish is gloss purpleburst, very unusual and in excellent condition. The neck is a 3 piece maple with a rosewood fingerboard and matching headstock veneer. There are a few minor scrapes on the headstock edges and some faint fingernail scratches on the body near the pickups but otherwise it's super clean. Weight is very nice at 8.8 lbs and it balances perfectly. Bridge and tuners are Hipshot, straplocks are Dunlop. The pickups are Duncan stacked Jazz and the preamp is a 3 band Duncan. This is all original and so clean you'll be amazed. The neck is 1-5/8" wide at the nut with a medium thin profile, very comfortable and easy to play. The scale length is 34". The frets have almost no wear and there are a few minor string marks on the fingerboard. Comes in the original fitted zippercase.

Price is $1500 SOLD

#2: This is one of the new vintage Jazz-shaped JB models from G&L. Condition is as new, I've only had it a month or so and it hasn't left the house. The bass has some collector value because G&L just discontinued their classic Gold Metallic. This might be the only JB ever in this color. The body is alder, the neck is a #8 (Jazz width and 12" radius) with a nice rosewood fingerboard. The pickups are single coils but sound great and are low noise due to shielding. Weighs 9.6 lbs and comes in the new factory black Tolex hardcase. This is a super Jazz bass, it plays and sounds just like it should.

Price is

#3: This is a very clean Music Man Sterling with the classic single humbucker. The body is a fairly rare one-piece ash with a clear gloss finish. The frets look new and the truss rod has plenty of movement. There are a few hard to see dings on the headstock and a couple of tiny dings on the body - you'll have to look closely to see any of them. The matte black pickguard has some finger scratches on it but it looks fine. Weighs 9.1 lbs and comes in the solid but slightly scratched up original molded hardcase. Very nice bass, plays and sounds great and the Sterling neck is so comfortable.

Price is $800 SOLD

I think that the Ken Lawrence originally came from Bass Alone - if it is the one I'm thinking of, it is REALLY nice; one of the nicest Ken Lawrence's I have played! And that is saying a lot as Ken's stuff is at the top of the heap for basses.

Brad,

A Lawrence shows up but without the 5th string!!! Arghhh!!! Much like the Lull you floated last week, if that Lawrence had the low B it would on its way to Tucson.

Hi Brad,

Not much of an MM guy. The first (and only) Lawrence I played was an Associate 5 that was owned by the guy who either currently owns or is involved in Bass Alone. This was 7 or 8 years ago. I liked it so much that I looked for one, a futile endeavor given their rarity.

Nice tight vintage style routes for everything. This is an amazing vintage style bass - they haven't missed a single detail, there's even the lower cutaway "hump".
