FS: Ken Smith BSR4M, excellent, case

Sign in to disble this ad
I am selling my 2002 Ken Smith BSR4M, 4 string bass in Tiger maple body, bolt-on, Paul Ferro rosewood fretboard, chrome hardware, in excellent condition (cosmetic is a solid 9/10), no wear on the fretboard. Comes with original Smith hard shell case (the case is almost like new). The Tiger maple is really a beautiful wood. The grain actually seems to move and change as you look at it from different angles -- almost like a hologram effect. It's also a $350 upgrade. Sound incredible. I don't use it much so I am selling it. Asking $1750 shipped within the USA. I can ship outside the USA if you pay for actual cost of shipping. No trade. Please PM me if interested. Paypal is OK.

REDUCED PRICE: $1695 shipped within the USA
Outside USA : $1650 plus actual shipping

Bump for the fact that I am super tempted ... and super broke...

Has to be one of my favorite basses of all time, and its a minty 4 string to boot!

If I could sell my current Human Base oc.4 I actually could afford this, but so far no luck on that guy.

Anyway, rambling bump...

I have the 5 string version of this bass, and its going nowhere. Same body wood, hardware color combination and everything. I'd love to have a four string version, because its just such a great bass. It sounds to me like a Stingray in a tuxedo, with more low end depth and more refined and articulate highs. If you've never heard or played a smith in person and you're thinking of buying this bass, don't hesitate. Its a great price.

And Smith just puts so many nice little details into his basses. I gave mine a little trussrod tweak last night (first time since I bought it) and was just amazed by the attention to detail and care that he puts into the area under the freakin truss rod cover plate!
