Here's my beloved smith BSR5EG.
I don't think I need to explain a lot of things about this , hate let it go ,but need jazz bass for now.
Very low action , and has no problem.

spec
Neck Through
Mahagony,flamed maple core
Walnut top
Ebony Fb
Newer pre with coil tap switches
5 piece neck
deluxe lacqure finish (professionally deglazed of lacqure to satin along normal fingering range at backside of the neck) can't take a picture of it ,and you weren't be able to recognize unless you want to.
Original HSC ,and the Original KS strap.

This is madness... I need to stay out of this forum.

Man, I can't stop looking at this bass! I love wood and thats the most beautiful specimen of workmanship on the planet!

Making me want to put my 55-94 up for sale and go to the credit union for the rest. (And I absolutely love my bass!) Always been obsessed with Smiths even though I never played one or even saw one in real life.

BTW. These are narrower string spacing wise than my Lakland right?

Yes , it's 18mm spacing. But plays fantastico!

I'm sure it does.

Actually I was at Guitar Center recently (enjoying the free concert put on by several 16 year old guitar players and drummers) and tried some narrow spaced 5 strings while there. Found out I could play them faster and more comfortably right off the bat with my small hands. Bummer...
