Alright folks, have a look! She's a 2006 P series, which are the best-of-the-bolt-on Smiths (5-piece necks, graphite rods). First and only owner, bought NOS just a few months ago.

Specs: Maple core, bubinga top/back, maple/bubinga laminated neck, pao-ferro fretboard, gold hardware, 18V electronics.

Condition: Pristine! I have babied this bass and it shows. Never gigged. Could easily pass for new hanging in a store (given its age, it essentially is new).

Sound: Classic Smith - clear, modern, articulate, just a tasteful touch of growl.

Playability: The ultimate. I've played several high-end basses, and owned a few Smiths. Smiths are the best-playing basses, and this is the best-playing Smith I've laid hands on.

I wish I could keep her around, but times tell me I need the money more. Hoping to avoid having to go the auction route.

New street price: $4275.
Asking price: $2900 (plus insured shipping CONUS), with case, strap, and new set of Smith Burners strings.

Thanks for looking, and Merry Christmas!

Bubinga Smith's seem to have more growl than Smiths made with other woods. Great looking bass!!!

Reasonable offers considered... before she goes off to auction!

I think it's about 10.5 pounds, per imprecise bathroom scale method.
Perfectly balanced, very comfortable (esp with Smith wide/padded strap).

Bump - relisted with no reserve!

Make me a reasonable offer here and I'll consider ending early there - and I'll throw in a new set of Smith Burners strings here (not there).
