KSD (Ken Smith Design) Proto-J 605 SB. It's a Jazz-style 5er with several upgrades (see below). Very good condition.
Asking $550. Not looking for trades.
The 605, a '60s-style Jazz, is a solid, well-made bass with good action and a nice tonal range. No issues. No blemishes - just very minor "swirlies" only seen in extreme close-up. Just looking to fund other purchases.
Alder body, tobacco sunburst finish.
Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard & dot markers
35" scale. 2 single coil pickups positioned correctly along the scale length.
String spacing at the bridge is 19mm.
It also has a defeatable, active 2-band preamp (push/pull on the volume control).
This is a Korean instrument made by Rira Musical Instruments in Incheon. They have since moved their operation to just outside of Jakarta, Indonesia.
The previous owner upgraded the preamp from the stock one to a G&B (same Korean electronics company currently making the MTD Kingston electronics)
Bridge is upgraded with a Badass V.

The new version goes for about $800 street. This one is about 3 years old, I think.
