FS: Killer Jazz Bass at a killer price!

Sign in to disble this ad
Up for sale is this:

Yea, this bass is a great player and is rock solid in the quality area. The new Diamond J's being built are made in China, while this one is made in south korea.

The neck is rock solid and easy to play. The tuners hold tuning very well, and the bridge is high mass without looking tacky. The paint job is a very creamy vintage ivory. The bass is factory wired with a push/pull tone knob for single coil or humbucking.

All in all a great bass! It is everything a jazz bass should be and more!

Here are a couple of crappy pics:

There is a G&L Jb-2 in the picture. I no longer have that bass because the Schecter out played it and was better sounding to my ears.

The newer China made ones go for $500 plus shipping or taxes. This one will be shipped to your door with a beat up (but very functional hardshell case that fits the vintage style of the bass very well).

such a good Jazz alternative...people just gotta embrace the full pickguard/no control plate aspect of this j.

i'm usually not a fan of the full pickguard, but in tortoise shell, it looks pretty good.

I can vouch for these basses. I was in Guatemala earlier this year, so I stopped in the one music store I found, and this was there. Only bass. I gotta say, I was really impressed with it. Really fat tone, not nasaly or anything. Just meaty. Good build quality too.

I owned a Schecter California Jazz with a QMT. Had chrome knobs, no pickguard and chrome plate too. It was nice! I sold it and have lately regretted it. I got my moneys worth but still, mine was about the same quality and actually had a little more tone than my MIA Fender Jazz. I ended up with my fender then realized I was better off at half the price :-(.

This is a GREAT bass and for $275 shipped definitely better than a MIM Fender AND they last. The full pickguard isn't my taste but it's a player, that's for sure.

Great bass at a steal.

How does the neck on this one compare to a Fender J. About the same thickness? Or...
And do you have any better pics at all?
Thanks

the neck is very comfortable and similar to a fender j. nothing like the geddy however, this would be a standard j feeling neck. i will try to get better pics today or tomorrow.

Thanks for that. I've had a pretty busy buying week, but maybe I can squeeze one more in.

Looking forward to the pics.

I will do my best to get some better pics up tomorrow. Right now, I work nights and am getting my ducks lined up for graduate school during the day. So between those two things, sleep, and band practice, my days have been very busy.

there is an international buyer that says he is interested. i am awaiting his address to give him a shipping quote.

still available for now.
