Lakland USA Custom Joe Osborn 4-string
This is a custom 2009 Lakland Joe Osborn USA model.
Truly a one-of-a-kind instrument.

Features:
  • Swamp Ash Body
  • Quartersawn maple neck & Birds-Eye Maple Fretboard with Block Inlays & Binding ($800 upgrade)
  • Custom Lamborghini Green body with Matching Headstock ($400 upgrade)
  • Black pickguard
  • Chrome hardware (including straplock pins and pickup cover)
  • Rear control cavity
  • Rear battery compartment
  • Bartolini 9J1 pickups ($120 upgrade, no longer offered as an option by Lakland)
  • Bartolini HR4.7AP onboard pre-amp* ($200 upgrade)
  • *Vol w/ Pull Passive, Balance, Concentric Bass/Treble, Mid knob, plus 3-position mid freq toggle
  • Lakland Deluxe plush Hardshell Case
  • Currently setup with DR Marcus Miller Fatbeams.

I also own a custom green 2007 JO with an Alder body and a rosewood neck.
I have gotten numerous inquiries from other Talkbass members asking about the color
on my '07 JO. Someone even dedicated a thread to it on Talkbass!

Red Button's green Lakland

Of course green is not everybody's cup o' tea,
but love it or hate it, it does attract a LOT of attention
and interest from other players.
When pictures of my original Lakland first appeared on Talkbass,
I had over a dozen emails asking me if I was willing to sell it....
Well, now is your chance!
This 2009 JO was originally intended to be the 07's funky counterpart,
and I must say the maple neck & ash body deliver a slamming funk tone.
This is a KILLER brand-spanking new instrument in mint condition!

Why am I selling it? Long story short, Lakland goofed & gave me a birdseye maple board, instead of regular maple.
They offered to make a new neck for me, but the bass was already four months late, and I was not
willing to wait another 6 to 8 months for them to build a new neck.
This is purely a cosmetic issue for me, and if you like the look of birdseye maple (I do not unfortunately)
you will be getting a fantastic bass and saving a lot of money, too.

PRICE DROP: My price is now drastically reduced from $3150 to $2799.00*
*you pay actual FedEx Ground shipping charges to the lower 48.
Lakland has recently raised their prices, and this instrument (without the upgrades) now lists for $4,400....
Not to mention, the build time will undoubtedly be close to a year (their original estimate was 6 months, it took 10)
Take this opportunity to save a lot of time and cash, and get an incredible instrument in three days
instead of waiting almost a year (or more!)
I'm not accepting offers from international buyers at this time.
No trades, please.

Good luck and let's find this baby a good home!

Simply a WOW bass. Visually/aesthetically Top 10 on talkbass imo.

I'd love to own it.

At my (ability) level and amount I gig, I'd be signing divorce papers about the time it arrived in the mail!

Awesome bass, huge bump.
