Up for grabs is my brand new Lakland 4401 with Sadowsky custom 5-knob pre w/VTC and Nordstrand Big Singles pups. I would rate it a 9.8 out of 10 - essentially flawless. Purchased brand new from Bass Emporium about 3 months ago, I had one of the best local luthiers in NoCal pull the Bart MK1 pre/pups and install the Sad/Nord combo. He did a stellar job, as the pix below show.
This is one of the nicest looking natural 4401s I have seen with a fantastic "tiger" stripe grain pattern and some slight but really nice birds eye on the fingerboard. Plays effortlessly, sounds killer and is seriously "better than new" since the Sad/Nord setup just kills - and it looks better too (IMHO). Weighs in at about 8.3 pounds.
I am selling because I had a chance to jump on a Sadowsky MV4 from a fellow TB'er in the color combo I've been wanting, and used up the money I had saved to upgrade my ProTools setup - GAS stinks! Still need to do the PT studio upgrades, so the Lakland, much to my disappointment, has to go. I paid $760 for the 4401 and added over $400 in upgrades (not including labor for install and setup) to create a real masterpiece. The bass will be expertly packed and shipped in a brand new Road Runner Pro gig bag. $900 includes shipping in the Cont USA. I accept PayPal and check. Let me know if you have any questions.
