Up for grabs is my Lakland 55-01 which was made in Korea and has an Inca Silver paint job with a maple neck and maple fretboard. I had always wanted one of these basses, but I wanted it to be either silver or red, because you see many more of the sunbursts or the natural ones. When I first got this bass I was not impressed by the tone. A string change and a preamp tweak got me into a neighborhood of tone that I liked much better than with the preamp set flat.
I believe the Made in Korea Lakland Skyline's are much better than the newer Indonesian built ones.
I was going to keep this bass and drop some Nordstrands into it, however, since I am a Jazz bass guy I have decided to go a different route and get a Carvin SB5000.
The bass is in great shape! I really couldn't find any nicks or dings on the body. There is one scratch on the headstock but its not bad (full disclosure). The bass will be set up with new Dunlop Nickels .45-.125 strings.
I will let this bass go for
525 shipped! If you would like a gigbag or a case, I have one but it will cost a little extra.
Both case and bag are like new and the bass will be packed well with or without a case/bag.
