FS: Lakland 55-02 Deluxe

I just worked a three way partial trade with Poon on this one.

-Natural Color
-Bone Nut Installed by the guys at Lakland - $80+ upcharge IIRC
-Plek'd
-Zero Fretware
-Zero Dings, Scratches, etc.
-Weighs around 8lbs
-Six months old!
-MINT
-No case/gig bag but original double Lakland box included for shipping

I'm not looking to get rich on this one. I'll take $1100 shipped in the lower 48.

Original thread here.

I'll have the bass on Tuesday and can ship out just after that.

Thanks,
JC

case or bag?

this is new enuff to have lakland guts, right?

I had an older bart loaded 5502, and it was just to warm and smooth for me...
can you comment on whether this is meaner, more mid present and grindier than the older bart units?

thx-alan

IME, Chef, the Lakland electronics are definitely less polite and have a generally more aggressive tone than Barts. I need Lakland to start making 34 inch scale 5 string Skylines. This thing looks sick!

Hey Alan,

It's been a while since I've played a Lakland w/ Barts but theses new Lakland pickups sound great. The bass has more personality than I remember from the Barts. It plays and sounds really good.

I just went over it with a fine toothed comb -- it really is dead, dead showroom mint. It's a good deal for whomever grabs it.

Might consider a trade for the right Ash/Maple single humbucker SR5. Otherwise, cash offers welcome.
