Let the truth be told...I don't play it and would rather have the cash. I managed to pick up a couple of rather spectacular 55-02's (thanks to Dan Lutz and Marcel) which pretty much cover my needs. But enough about me, let's talk about the bass in question...
This is a super-light 55-94 (8.5 lbs) in mint condition...and I mean not a mark on it. The matching headstock really ices the cupcake. Here's the whole story:
*Neck - maple w/ rosewood fingerboard, 35" scale, 22 frets.
*Body - swamp ash (so sayeth the Spencer!) finished in a perfectly stunning seafoam green with matching headstock.
*LH pickups and preamp.
*Hipshot hardware, Dunlop strap buttons.
*Weight - approx. 8.5 lbs.
*Condition - mint.
*Cream tolex Lakland hardshell case.
Seafoam green is a tough nut to capture on film; the resulting pics lean more towards the "blue" side of things but that is not the case when viewed in person.
At the moment, she's strung with a set of slightly "hairy" Elixir strings. I'll throw in a set of XL Bright Nickels as part of the deal. I'm asking $2100 and that includes shipping in the lower 48. For that, you're pretty much getting a brand-new US Lakland. As always, I offer a 48 hr. right-of-refusal trial period...if you don't like it, you may return it for a refund minus initial shipping costs. It doesn't get much fairer than that. I'll consider trade offers but cash gets top priority.
Thanks for looking and be sure to PM me with any questions, comments, or offers.

I love the color although I know there are some out there who don't. Regardless it's everything you've heard about US made 55-94's. Lightweight and articulate with tone to die for and top notch craftsmanship. If you've ever thought of buying a new one, don't! Buy this one instead and save yourself a whole lot of ca$h............. |

The headstock photo comes closest to a true representation. Any artifact you see is just that...reflections, etc. The neck reverse shot is particularly interesting as there's a distinct horizontal grain stripe throughout...but its a quartersawn neck, not flatsawn like the 55-02's.
Call it blasphemy but I think this particular 55-94 would look great with a mildly contrasting Jeannie's pickguard.

The same applies to duties, taxes, tariffs, and any other shakedown money it takes to free it from the clutches of your local customs authority.
Brand new Lakland 55-94, custom color, cool tweed case for $2100....how can you beat that?!? Sorry, no mojo included....go make your own.
