Ive decided to sell my beloved Lakland Skyline Glaub P bass with factory installed Darkstar pickup.
Purchased from BassCentral in as-new condition. Serial number 05042118.
I believe these are pretty rare, as Darkstars are generally not in production, and any new install is a retrofit not done by Lakland in Chicago.
Sports a nicely figured maple fingerboard, black w/black pickguard. Lakland installed drop-D tuner and a nice Lakland gigbag. Currently with roundwounds
I will add that with TI flats this sounds unlike any other bass Ive ever played. This was my go-to for the Europe 72 Phil Lesh sound (Im now playing a 5 string).
I have owned and quickly sold other basses retrofitted with Darkstars over the years. This one truly brings out the nuances of the DS full range pickup whether you play with fingers or a pick. Weight appx 8.25 lbs. Photos a bit later. SOLD
