Ok. Here is a beauty and it is a bass that is becoming harder to find.

Lakland Daryl Jones 4 string bass in CAR. I have installed a J-Retro ($299) with the active/passive switch. Also I have two pick guards for this bass (black and white). Rosewood board, which is bound an blocked.

The bass is in excellent shape with one ding in the headstock and not much else

No trades at this time, I am having Pat Wilkins build me a bass and need to move this one to help fund it.

Comes with a gig bag and will be packed to withstand the toughest of UPS. FedEx, or USPS drivers.

$1125 shipped in the lower 48, will ship international at the buyers expense.

Sweet, I use to have a Car DJ it was one sweet bass, I forget where that one wound up, that was back in the days of the DP.

I am not 100% sure but they were made in CAR for the first few years of production

The first two digits of the serial number tell you the year.

Also it looks like they made the DJ in CAR for two years only 2003 and 2004. There probably weren't more than 60 of these made. Rare color and made in the Skyline peak years IMO.

Bump for a great guy, and a great bass. I traded this DJ to Brandon. This is an excellent example of the early Skylines. Low action, and lightweight at 8lbs 13oz on a digital postal scale.
