FS Lakland DJ5 with Fralins *SOLD & SOLD* It's a dark day. I have to sell two basses to help pay for a new addition. I am not interested in any trades with the exception of a Dingwall Super P or Super PJ. Clearly willing to add cash with either of these. ***SOLD***Fender AVRI 62 P. As New or like new, if you prefer. I purchased this over the holidays. It is just as remarkable as the reviews stipulate. I made the following changes. 1) Added an anno guard. Drilled one additional guard hold in the body. It was done by someone way smarter than me that actually scored the nitro prior to drilling the hole to eliminate chip risk to finish. 2) I swapped out the tuners with Gotoh Resolite Tuners GB640 reg vs reverse tuners. They are drop in. 3) Covers were installed. Again, finish was scored using the covers as a guide prior to drilling to eliminate chipping risk. 4) lightly and I mean LIGHTLY took a scotchbrite to the back of the neck. It was done so lightly that I can stake my life that the nitro has not been breached anywhere. As is, this bass is the lightest P bass I have ever had at 7 pounds 6 ounces on a UPS scale. It sounds absolutely remarkable strung with D Addario Chromes or Fender 7250's. With the exception of an original 63P that I got to play a decade ago, I have not heard better tone out of a production Fender. I am not a fan of 3TS finishes at all and this one took my breath away. The only reason that I am selling this is that I have ordered the 63 NAV P. I can't justify keeping this but I am trying ! Pics at end of thread. 2008 Lakeland Skyline DJ 5 with Fralins This thing is an absolute beast and has the sexiest neck of any 5er that I have played. I got this used with the Lindys installed. I do not have the original pick ups. Weight is 9-10 by UPS scale. I need to look at the bass one more time but I believe it to be spotless with one minor exception. Back of the neck shows some minor finish wear between the 5th and 7th fret. It clearly came to me that way as I have done nothing to it except plug and play. I never noticed it until I put the bass back on the wall last night and it gets played twice weekly without fail. Pics below show it with a tort guard. Currently, the bass has the orginal while guard installed. 1100.00 shipped conus for the bass, tort guard, and a white Lakland HSC case. The case has some wear but has no structural problems whatsoever. Again, very uncomfortable letting this one go. If you decide to purchase one of these basses, please take care of them. If I see you acting wrecklessly on YouTube with one of my former children, there will be trouble ! ![]() ![]() |
If only this AVRI P had been up Tuesday when I ordered a new one; it arrived today. :crying: Good luck. |

It may be possible to pry it from my fingers but then that means that I have to go buy a fiver until my future baby gets in. This is a remarkable bass and I am only getting rid of it to grab my dream 5. To replace it now with something temporarily that I may or not care for doesnt make a lot of sense. |

Yep. Chris PM'd me earlier in the week to inform me that you were new to the board. PM'd you. |
And pending........when it was no longer for sale. That will teach me for agreeing to something and having to my honor my word. Two killer basses gone. This selling stuff is for the birds. It's like selling children. Why can't I keep everything that I like and stack basses up like cord wood? |
Darn it, Zoomie! Isn't this the DJ5 you were going to bring to a gig and allow me to fondle? You and I sir, are at odds! |
Yes sir. I will make it up to you. You can try out a Dingwall Super j5 and Super Pz5 instead. Something tells me that I'll be forgiven. ;) |
That may be..... |
