FS - Lakland Dude Pit Ltd Ed. II ("DPLEII")

Money problems force me to part with an excellent bass - the Lakland Skyline Dude Pit Limited Edition II.

This bass comes from a special run of only 30 basses done for the The Dude Pit, a now defunct website. I bought this from fellow TB'er Tom in January, literally days before I got laid off from work. I am still unemployed, so I need some cash!!

The bass is near mint. There is some minor use wear on the pickguard but nothing else.

The details:

-Custom Vintage White w/matching headstock
-Ash body
-Jazz width size neck: 1-1/2" at the nut
-Blocks and binding
-Tort pickguard
-Darkstar pickup

This bass is dead quiet, and it sounds amazing. The Darkstar is like a P-Bass on steroids. I'd compare the bass most closely to a Duck Dunn, since it is a P body with a J neck.

The frets are in great shape with no buzzing. Weight is about 9.5 lbs.

The bass will be shipped with the Dude Pit gig bag (by Levy's), which was part of the original package.

I paid $1400 shipped two months ago, but I recognize that one just sold for $1,185 plus shipping. So, I'll officially ask $1,400, but I am a bit flexible. LOWER 48 ONLY.

The only possible trade offers I will entertain are for a Bob Glaub 5, Joe Osborn 5 or a Modulus Q5 (preference given to a semi-hollow Q5). All other trade offers will be ignored (keep in mind that I'm unemployed please).

Thanks so much!

These are great sounding basses. If I could afford it, I'd have hung on to it ... damned economy...

I'm sorry that you're forced to liquidate and pray that employment is near. No arguments, these P's are class and elegance embodied...

I owned this bass for a while. I bought it from Tom the first time he sold it. She's a good one.
