FS: Lakland JO5 Skyline w/ Nordstrand P/J's

I picked up this beauty from Grateful recently, at the same time I picked up a Lakland 55-02. Only needed one bass, but both drew my attention, so I snagged them both. Well, having gigged once with each, I find that the 55-02 is more "me" than the JO (however, I got nothing but compliments from the audience and the band with the JO at the San Antonio BBQ Cookoff ).

That said, I'm offering it back to the Talkbass community for what I paid for the bass, $1050.

This was mine, and it is an awesome bass. I grudgingly sold it to finance a bass to which I had long ago committed.

The neck on this bass is awesome, and it is in excellent condition.

Bump for a great bass and a great TB'er!

More pictures of the bass here (it was originally mine and I had the P/J conversion done.)

I don't think it has the J-Retro any longer.

So. The J-pickup is Fralin but not Nordstrand, right?

Aww man,

that bass is haunting me. I corresponded with Grateful when he had it for sale here. I was just blown away by that bass. Just didn't pull the trigger on it.

And now, its here in TX. DANG!! Well I picked up a '08 Am St P5 since then and its doing me right. I have a 55-02D & JoBo 5, so I do likes my Lakeys.
If it stays in TX much longer I may have to go see if just to play it once before it moves on.

Sorry I can't just up and buy it...again. Let's do the Texas bump for ya.

(Sorry to interrupt...)

As the previous owner, my understanding is that they are a matched pair of Nordstrands.

As the person who originally had this work done, that is definitely the case. FYI, here is the thread that discusses the original modifications: FOUND THE BEEF!!!

The mods were done by this man, one of the best/coolest luthiers in the Twin Cities: http://moseso.com/lsgr/

The seller told me it is passive. I'm also very interested in its weight.

As another prior owner...I can say nothing but awesome things about this bass. Only reason I sold her was to go with a USA JO5. The pickup combo in this bad boy is amazing sounding. I should also add that one thing that makes this bass even more special is the fact that it has a bone nut installed by lakland.
