This is a 2004 Lakland 55-01 5 string bass in excellent condition. There are no noticeable nicks, dings or scratches anywhere on this bass. The control panel cover still has the plastic wrapping on it! This bass is setup really nice with very low action and the neck is straight as an arrow with spot on intonation set at the bridge.
I upgraded this bass with Nordstrand Big Singles pickups which if you don't know are very nice and beefy sounding. Sounds like a juiced up Jazz Bass. Boutique quality pickups.
I also replaced the stock preamp with a US Bartolini NTMB 3 band EQ. The EQ has bass, treble and mids (with push pull mid frequency selection) and volume and blend. The volume pot has a push pull active/passive switch. With these electronics upgrades, this bass sounds miles better than the stock configuration.
The bass also has a Gator brand "hybrid" hardshell case that it will ship in. I put a brand new set of Ernie Ball Slinkys on this and it plays very fast and smooth.
Without the upgraded electronics these basses are selling for about $550 - $600 used. They are now $825 new with stock electronics. I am asking $750 shipped. This bass could pass as brand new. With the upgraded electronics, its a winner. Paypal is accepted. No trades. No international sales.
