SOLD!
It absolutely breaks my heart to do this... But I was hit with some sudden bills, and selling this beauty is my only option at this point.
Up for sale is my BRAND NEW (I've had it about a week) 44-64LE in teal green metallic with matching headstock. 1 of 100 made. Ash body (from what I'm told, all of the Skyline LE's are), rosewood fingerboard with dots (no blocks or binding), Lakland p/u. If I had to guess, I'd say it weighs about 9 pounds - although it's probably a little less than that.
I just picked it up YESTERDAY from Bass Emporium, where it received a full setup with DR flatwounds. I gigged it for the first time last night at a private party, and it sounds AMAZING. It also plays better than any P-style instrument I've ever put my hands on, with the exception of a US Glaub. It looks gorgeous, sounds gorgeous, and is exactly what I'd always dreamed a Fender Precision could be.
It's in mint condition (only gigged once - last night!), and it comes in a brand new Lakland black tolex (Fender style) hardshell case (note: NOT the plastic SKB-style one they used to use).
The only things worth mentioning are nitpicky stuff:
1) There's a spot or two where someone got a little overenthusiastic with the fret file (I've seen much worse on USA Fenders). You can see the marks, but they're minor and I can't feel them while playing.
2) The pickguard wasn't cut perfectly around the bottom - it's a little uneven on the edge near the jack (like on most Skylines). This didn't bother me, but I figured it was worth mentioning.
Like I said, this thing is brand new. Not a scratch/ding/dent/etc on it. It has less than 2 hours total playing time on it.
Asking $1,100 shipped, but am certainly open to offers. No trades.
I'll try to get some pics up tonight.
