Hey guys and gals. I just bought this Bob Glaud P bass a little over a week ago. Seen here:
FS/FT: Lakland Skyline Bob Glaub / BG / 44-64
Since then, well, ahem, I went on a little spending spree.
This is truly a phenomenal bass with very cool, fat vintage tones. The Lindy Fralin pickups rock in this rig.
Specs as I know them:
- 1.75" at the nut
- 9.8 lbs. on the scale
The previous owner had it strung BEAD and modified the nut. I just had the nut replaced and it is strung standard with brand new D'addario XL's in .45-.105's. Like mentioned in the previous add, there is a small ding on the back of the neck at about the 5th fret. I tried to capture it in pics but it is hard to see and not even noticeable when playing.
The bass will be shipped in a well padded Zon gig bag and also comes with the stock white pickguard. This was my first Lakland and I now know what everyone means when they rave about them. Truly a great playing and sounding P bass.
It has what I'd consider normal wear and tear for a 2005 bass. I also agree with the PO's assessment of an 8/10. Just a solid P bass that sound great mixing it up. The action is a tad high and it probably could use a good setup if you want lower action, which it is capable of easily.
I'm asking $675 shipped to the US. Paypal is preferred. No trades please.....don't want to be tempted! I'm not looking to get rich, just pass on the deal I got to someone else.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions and I'll do my best to answer. Thanks.
