Paying bills so up for sale is my 2008 Lakland Skyline DJ4.
This bass is in excellent condition with no dings, scratches, dents, etc.
I did change out the pick guard and knobs (as seen in the bottom picture) but I will include the originals with the sale.

I e-mailed the guys at Lakland too, to inquire about it's weight. It sounds like it is heavier than what I want, but the price is nice. I can't afford it unless my P-bass sells. I am also looking at a few other models here. Still, yours is very nice looking. |

If yes to the adjustment question, tell me how that worked? Did you have to remove the neck? Is it an allen wrench or phillips screw head? Looks like the groove in the pick guard is built to accomodate an allen wrench. That is a nice design if that is the case. My Fender Jazz is an RI, which means I take the neck off, turn the truss rod screw, reinstall neck, test, repeat as needed. Yeah, a pain for sure. Thanks! |

This is a 2008 and judging on thefact that it comes with a PLEK tag it must have the Lakland brand pickups in it. You can hear samples of that pickup on the Lakland website. http://www.lakland.com/ac_JO5.htm
That is a Joe Osborn but it uses the same pickups and has the same body wood. Quote:

(I realize I am not the seller but I figured I would answer these questions since I knew the answer.)

This model is not an American model, correct? And still curious about how often it needs truss rod adjustments, and how low the action can be set. Thanks!

As far as set-up work, I'm not really qualified to answer those questions. I don't do any work on my own gear (except changing strings) but I do know this is a well built bass and should require minimal maintenance. As far as how low the action can be set, the guys at Lakland would be the best to ask. Quote:

Good luck with the snow this weekend. I have a gig in Gettysburg tomorrow night and we are suposed to get 1-2 feet of snow in our area. I hear that by the PA turnpike its more like 7-10 inches. We'll see...
Thanks for the info, the Skylines sound really nice!

My Skyline Glaubs were at least as good as that if not better.
They are calling for around a foot near me starting tomorrow afternoon.
I was supposed to pick up one of my basses at the shop this Sat too. I am very sad.
