FS LAKLAND SKYLINE JERRY SCHEFF SIGNATURE SHORELINE GOLD STUNNING BASS!! W/CASE

Sign in to disble this ad
FOR SALE ONLY = No Trades please

I just picked this Lakland Skyline Jerry Scheff signature bass up recently.
I fell in love with the amazing tone these Scheffs have.
The tonal variety is truly impressive!
It is passive or Active and sounds great in both modes.
This bass will cover just about everything.
You will be truly blown away!
This Skyline was one made in Korea.
And the build quality is VERY VERY near that of the $3,500 US Laklands!
I know I own several US Laklands to compare them side by side.

These Jerry Scheff editions are very scarce!!!
They did not make them for long.
Jerry moved on to other pastures, so they dropped this bass from production.
Which makes it that much cooler!! RARE basses!!

This one actually also comes with a Lakland hard shell molded plastic case with the Lakland name on it.
Normally Skylines do not come with hard cases.
So this is a sweet bonus!!

The neck plays super smooth and fast!!
The rosewood has beautiful grain to it.
The overall condition of the bass is honestly close to mint...I would give it a mint - only due to some playing marks on the black pickguard...and a few very light playing marks on the chrome pup cases from string contact, nothing bad at all!!
Thats about it really..

It comes with two custom made pickguards by Jeannies who makes the lakland US pickguard for the factory.
One is black and on the bass...the other is white.
Both come with the sale.
They alone are $50 each!! and the hard case is also a added value that is thrown in!!

NOW you ask WHY sell it so quickly?

Well I found a mint US super rare Lakland Scheff.
So I am letting go of this to obtain THAT!!
Plus I now have 3 gold laklands...
So I am selling this one for those two reasons
regardless............
Someone will score a rare and hard to come by bass for a killer deal!!
This will not last long...many people look for these basses.

The FIRM price will be set at: $850.00 PLUS shipping to your US location in the lower 48.
If you are east of Chicago shipping should be approx. $55.00
If you are west of Chicago, figure $60-$65.00
I will use UPS ground and insure for paid amount.
We can determine the exact shipping once I get the buyers address and check the UPS site.

Paypal and overnight bank checks are accepted method of payment.

What's the sound like with those soap-bar pups, say, compared with the Bart Mk-1's?

Thanks for the interest...
I have no clue compared to barts...none of my laklands have barts.
maybe ask over on the lakland owners group thread here? and I am sure Markus or Doug will know for SURE

I can say, this bass has amazing sound. And a lot of variety!
Much more so than pretty much most basses I have owned.
The pre amp is killer.
This bass thinks it is a much higher priced bass.

For the price I am asking it is a GREAT BASS DEAL!
Just passing on a great price that I recently obtained.
You are close too. Boston?
The bass is just in upstate, NY 3 hours away

lipstick not soapbar. I'mresponding via phone when I get home and have a proper keypad I'll respond in detail. Long story short the pups are unique. Scooped, full sounding.thebridge can get very snarly and the neck pickup does a really great unique p tone.

Yep, I do know
I recall ya posting on the original thread when this popped up when I purchased her...
I am just passing along the super fair price to everyone, that I had gotten.
I waxed it up and polished the frets and oiled the board.
I put a new set of $35 EBMM Hybrid slinkys on it.
Played it for maybe an hour in my home....And now here she is up for grabs.

It ISSSS on feebay as a buy it now...and on the LOG site too.
So if anyone wants it better jump on it...

I can tell you that if you like snarl and growl, you will LOVE this Scheff!!! I have a US model that is the growliest bass I have!

it has been said that the Skyline Scheffs and Skyline HBs are as close to US Laklands as you will get without paying the extra bucks.....food for thought!

Yep Lipstick pups...
and gotta say these pups are amazing!!
Truly tone monsters.
They will give off such fantastic tone.
From snotty and snarly to mellow and woody.
You name it you got it with this bass.
I am only selling this due to getting another Scheff in the USA model.
A very VERY rare Scheff that is calling my name.
After playing this one for a week, I KNOW I will love this other Scheff.
So off I go in that direction.
These are killer killer basses!
And this one is ONLY -------- $850!!!?????
And whatever it takes to ship it to ya

Buy it, before someone else does and you are bummin ya held out

I hear ya...this scheff is as close as a person will get to the $3,500 new price for the US version.
Actually they stopped making the scheff...so there goes THAT one.
Amazed this did not sell the first hour it was listed???? weird?
If I did not find that super rare US one, no way would this be leaving...this thing is so cool!
