Hi there,
This is my Lakland Skyline Joe Osborn 5 string bass - ash body, rosewood board, 35" scale, passive Lakland single coils, tort guard, cow catcher.
This particular bass is a WONDERFUL example of a Skyline. I purchased it in 2006 - before Skyline production was moved to Indonesia. I had Kirk Hunter at Lakland "pick out the best one" that they had in stock. It was cool - I actually heard him over the phone playing the 4 JO5s they had in stock! This one was the lightest and most resonant of the bunch (according to Kirk). It comes in at 9.4 pounds on my digital bathroom scale.
It's in great shape with minor player wear - a few scratches here and there but nothing that constitutes an issue.
And if you'd like to hear it - I do all of Lakland's soundclips and THIS IS THE BASS that I used for the Skyline JO5 clips up on lakland.com! So here it is, in all it's juicy, authoritative glory:

Don't be fooled - the bass pictured on the site is 3tone sunburst. But it truly is this instrument that you hear in the soundclips.
SO - why sell it? I just acquired a USJO5 and this bass isn't getting enough time. But it's crazy - there are some things that I actually like BETTER about this bass than the US one. It seems to have a touch more top end and sounds a tad more "open." But I'm sticking with my US bass - for better or for worse!
$975 shipped in the CONUS. It will be boxed in a super sturdy Lakland box and come with a gig bag.
