FS: Lakland US 55-94CS 55-07

I recently acquired this bass in a trade. It is a VERY nice instrument, and from what I gather, quite rare. This is a 55-94CS (Chisonics) or also known as a 55-07. The bass features a very unique ice blue metallic finish and, of course, the ChiSonic HUMBUCKING pickups coupled with the LH-3 preamp.

The control layout is as follows: Volume (P/P active/passive) --> Passive tone --> blend --> HB/SC switch --> bass --> mid --> treble. The preamp is fitted with internal switching for mid frequency control.

The body cut is the same as the 55-94 (55-01 , -02), and it features the same 35" scale. It weighs 8.8 lbs on on my digital kitchen scale.

This video link is a link to an Ed Freidland demo of his 44-07. It is essentially the same bass in a four string variant and gives you a great sense of how it behaves:

To have the bass built by Lakland would be in the high $3K range. I am offering this one for $2,500 including insured shipping. Paypal only. Because of past experiences, I will only ship to U.S. addresses. Includes the white Lakland case.

I like this bass VERY much, but circumstances are such that it makes the most sense to sell it. It's either this one or my Sadowsky NYC. It was actually a hard choice but I have decided to keep the Sadowsky.

I would consider partial trades with cash coming to me. I would consider the following in four or five string:

Latest generation Fender U.S. Standard or Deluxe Jazz
Lakland Skyline 44-60 (or four string JO, DJ)
U.S. G&L L2000 or L2500
EBMM stringray
Sadowsky Metro JJ

Please note that I am pretty picky about condition of instruments. I would not trade for any bass with chipped paint or other minor cosmetic issues. This bass can be rated as "like new", and so I would only trade for the same. Please be prepared to provide plenty of photos documenting condition.

There is not a single blip or blemish on this Lakland that I can find. I will gladly supply any and all additional photos needed to answer any questions you may have about the bass.

Thanks.

Sorry this didn't work out Charles. Bump for a great bass and a great TBer. If this was 34" it would come back home! Charles is a great guy to deal with.

I really do like a LOT, but need money. We just got quoted $6,800 to replace our HVAC system that is shot!!!!

That said, it may end up working out!! I'll pay CC interest on the AC before I let someone steal it. It's too nice!
