Here we have an opportunity. This is a very sweet Lakland USA Bob Glaub classic P-Bass. The instruments feels like butter in your hands, with the 1.5" J-neck width. If you have not played a Lakland neck you are in for a very nice surprise. Thin neck profile makes it super easy on the hands, yet is stable through use of quarter-sawn wood which adds stability and strength. Serial number is BG485 which dates it after 2009 (Lakland Serial Number sheet ends at the 2009 BG411), so probably a 2010 build. Weight is 8.8 pounds.
This bass has not been a case queen, however. The previous owner played her lovingly, and she shows a few love bites with several dents on the back and two chips in the clearcoat on the headstock. The upside is a chance to get a real players bass at a great price, a bass that you will actually love to play out without worry of nicking up a Lakland USA premium instrument.
Previous owner replaced the stock Lakland pickups with higher end Curtis Novak hand wounds. I do not have the original pickups. Here is a link to the pickups:
Curtis Novak Pickups
Comes with original Lakland white case, which also has a lovebite on it.
Let's go $1600 shipped on this, no fee payment, prefer personal check. Pretty low for a USA Lakland, a great players instrument at a good price. I'm selling because I just grabbed a mint 30th Anniversary Stingray and I'm keeping to my one-in-one-out rule. No Trades, please.
