SOLD! Late 1970s S.D. Curlee Bass SOLD!

Made in the USA. S.D. Curlee basses shared the same basic, almost symmetrical shape (inspired by the Gibson Les Paul double cutaway Junior); small upper horn/lower bout inclination; hand rubbed oil finish; Dunlop straplocks included. Body made of butcher block mahogany; maple neck with walnut stripe; brass nut; 24 frets; 32½" medium scale neck; double octave bass; neck – similar to C-shape Fender; branded “S.D. Curlee” logo headstock; easy truss rod access; 1 – Bartolini Jazz-style pick up; H-A Precision bass style pickups (these are late 1970s Bartolini pickups- an early version). Controls (passive) – volume/tone, volume/tone, three-way switch; Pots (550K OHM CTS). Tuners – Hipshot Ultralites; Badass bridge; neck & electronic cavity brass plates; replaced football jackplate.

This S.D. Curlee bass features a unique blend of neck through body design and bolt-on neck, which is anchored in the body with a brass plate. This bass is built solid and has a nice balance to it. Great tone & sustain! Neck is straight. About 9 lbs. A few nicks and dings that blend in and are not very noticeable. In pretty nice shape. Very good condition. Sturdy, well-padded Coffin Case gig bag included. $35 - Domestic packing & shipping.
